Simon Carman is a local art legend – he grew up in Dublin and follows in the footsteps of his mother, renowned sculptress, Cathy Carman.
After studying for a foundation at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) in Dublin, Simon went on to attend the Glasgow School of Art where he achieved a BA Hon. in Sculpture. He has exhibited both in Ireland and on the international stage and his works feature in several private collections.
Here at McKeon Stone we were thrilled at the opportunity last year to play host to one of Ireland’s most talented living sculptors, Simon Carman. On June 9th, 2018, Carman returned to give an illustrated talk on his work at our stone yard in one of our special sculptural events which we hold on a regular basis.
